18th February 2011

Presentations were made today by three local representatives who each expressed strong support for the proposed Slane Bypass.

Thomas Byrne TD (Fianna Fáil), Shane McEntee (Fine Gael) and Senator Dominic Hannigan (Labour) all made presentations at the Oral Hearing to the inspectors impressing upon them the need for the bypass and the urgency of the situation facing the village.

Read the coverage in the Irish Times HERE. The reporting of Senator Hannigan's presentation in this newspaper was inaccurate and a subsequent clarification was published: HERE.
