Slane has a medieval bridge and an 18th century
road carrying 21st century articulated traffic…
The only long-term solution to the
ongoing traffic problem in Slane
is the construction of the bypass.

Ladywell Fete, Slane Castle 2009
16th August 2009

The Bypass Slane Campaign had a very successful day at the Ladywell Fete. A big thank-you to all who visited us at our stand to lend their support and sign the petition. This was very welcome opportunity to meet large numbers of people from Slane and the wider area and publicise the traffic safety situation and to canvass support. We were very pleased to have met new people who were sympathetic to the cause and who were also so willing to give support in the future. We managed to increase the number of signatures on our petition substantially and hope that this will be a help in future lobbying efforts.

A big thank-you also to the Ladywell Fete committee who allowed us to participate in the event.
